Kitchen Keepsake ("the app," "we," "us") is built to keep your family's recipes private and safe. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
The recipes you save — titles, ingredients, steps, notes, links, and photos — are stored on your device and in your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). This keeps them backed up and in sync across your Apple devices. We do not have access to your private iCloud data.
If you choose to use family sharing, the recipes you share are sent to our server (hosted on Cloudflare) so that others who use your family code can see them. When you share a recipe, the following is transmitted and stored to provide that feature:
This information is used only to deliver the family-sharing feature. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to track you. If you do not use family sharing, none of this leaves your device.
When you paste a recipe link and tap auto-fill, the app sends that link to our helper service to read the public recipe page and return the details. The link is used only to fetch that recipe and is not stored to identify you.
The app asks for photo access only so you can attach a photo to a recipe. Photos stay private unless you choose to share that recipe with your family.
No accounts or passwords, no location, no contacts, no analytics or usage tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party trackers.
Kitchen Keepsake is family-friendly and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the recipe content described above.
Delete a recipe to remove it from your device and iCloud. The person who shared a recipe can remove it for the family at any time. To request deletion of shared data associated with your family code, email us and we will remove it.
